Herd You Had A Birthday | MFT stamps

Hello all, I am back...yes it's been well over a week I know, but I am back now!! towards the end of last year I purchased some My Favourite Things stamps ( Which I love!!) and I've only just got round to having a play and decided to use nearly all the animals on one card...yes it does sound a little crazy and maybe over the top but I think it works.

Started with A6 (UK) tent fold card, stamped the MFT "The whole herd" using versafine onyx ink and the Homemade stamping tool <----- click here and coloured the images in WHSmith artist quality coloured pencils. I wanted that fun look that had that soft touch, also I blended to blue colours together to go around the edge of each animal, to station them,

Stamped "Herd You Had A Birthday" sentiment using onyx black ink and again the homemade stamp tool on to strip of neenah card, then poured over clear embossing powder and heat set with heat tool.

Adhered the matt layer to the card using double sided tape and attached the sentiment strip using double sided foam tape. For finished touch I had a little wink of stella clear glitter pen on parts of the animals.

I thought I'd give you a little product review of the homemade stamping tool that I've recently blogged about, well I can honestly say it works fabulously and gives you super clear stamped images every time. Very pleased with how it turned out and would recommend making one for sure.

  1. Nice job on the colouring - love the blue 'halo' round the cards. I think it works really well with all the animals on the card - the more the merrier - and I'm glad your home made stamping tool is working really well for you!! Xx

  2. Eeeeek!!! This is such a fun card with fun pun too! How cool is that?! Your colouring is flawless, Missy. The little critters look adorable... not crowded at all, just perfectly spaced. I'm glad your stamping tool is doing a great job. So satisfying when you make your own... even better when the thing you made just saved you a ton of moolah! :)
