Father's Day

Hello there, well in the UK it's Father's day in a few weeks time and I decided to get prepared in advance so I didn't to worry near the time and make a card in a rush. I really don't like having to rush to make a card as it seems to dampen down your creativity.

Started with stitched rectangle created in the silhouette cameo software and using the free Making Cards Mens CD Rom from last month I dragged the car image into Craft Artist 2 and save it as PNG file and that allowed me to open it in the silhouette cameo software. I aligned the image to the top middle of the rectangle and created a stitched circle round the image. Then I took a sheet of PL card and using the print and cut function printed and cut the rectangle out.

Printed out a background sheet from the same Mens CD rom using my printer and cut the this down to fit my card blank and adhered this to the card blank using double sided tape. Next I took a piece of fun foam and cut it to size and applied double sided tape to one side and adhere to the panel. Then I applied double sided tape to the other side of the fun foam and adhere the panel to the A2 (US size) card blank. Using my homemade stamp tool, I stamped the Happy Father's Day from the W&W stamp set on to a narrow strip of PL card using versafine onyx black ink. Adhere to strip to the card using double sided foam tape. Finally adding a few Tonic nuvo white drops to finish.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and over in the UK we have a extra long weekend with it being a bank holiday, so I hope you are all enjoying your extra day off too.

Altenew | Thank you | Giveaway

Hello there, I am back to today for the first time in several weeks since taking a break due to health reasons. I am slowly getting back into my crafting again but it will take me a while to get back to how I was. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who as left me messages of support on here and on social media over the past few weeks. It's been truly overwhelming that so many of you took time out to send me well wishes, for that a I'm so grateful and so appreciative to know that so many of you care. (Also I will be having a giveaway at the end of this post to win this card!!)

Started with stitched panel that I created and cut on Silhouette Cameo using PL white card, using the free Altenew stamps from Simply cards and Papercraft Magazine April issue, stamped thank you in the middle of the card using perfect medium and my homemade stamp tool, poured over wow metallic gold rich embossing powder and heat set.

Next stamped the four roses using the same homemade stamping tool and colorbox paintbox ink sets, using the layer technique, using three different colours of purple. Then I created a mask to over the roses so I could stamp the leaves.

Stamped the leaves from the same set using two greens from the Colorbox Paintbox ink pads. Cut a piece of fun foam to fit the back of the panel and adhere this with double sided tape. Then attached panel to lilac A2 blank (US size) card using double sided tape.
