Enchanted fairies of little venice

Hello there, hope you are enjoy your weekend? Well I have been busy crafting this afternoon and thought you would like to see my latest make.

First I embossed a strip of green card using perfect medium and Debbi Moore silver embossing powder and heated it with a heat gun, then cut piece of portofino card to fit the card as layer and stamped this lovely fairy from Enchanted fairies of little venice.

Coloured the image with Faber castell 24 colour grip watercolour pencils and kuretake water pen then struck it to the card blank using double sided tape, Stamped the birthday wishes in bottom left hand corner.  Added three sequins near the verse to finish.

Card size is 12cm x 20.3cm and folded to the left hand side

Finally I added some light blue watercolour pencil and using my kuretake water pen blend the colour out to give glow effect.

Here is September and soon will be the start of the Autumn season

Well its September, which I cant believe as it does seem that long ago since we were back in January. Doesn't the years go by so quickly hey!! well I must admit I do love the Autumn, think its that feeling of the change of weather and the fall of the leaves. The need for lovely comfort food such as corned beef hash or lovely chicken pie. Bringing out your cardigans and maybe switching the heating on again. Autumn makes you have that lovely warm feeling inside and the start of brand new season.

Well I decided to use the Autumn for my inspiration for a challenge, Yes its that time of the month where I hunt out some challenges to enter. Over at Crafters Companion Facebook page their theme this month is can you believe is "AUTUMN" (Yay)

For boys and men in your life

Hello Friends

Its been a while since I have blogged so when I notice the Crafters Companion Challenge on their Facebook page was the theme of "Masculine" I decided in for penny and in for pound why not give it try.

So I wanted something that wasn't the usual blues or greens (like most boys and mens cards are like) so decided on cool colour theme of Black, Grey and White. For me it brings air of fresh and modern style but with a cute twist with using Mulberry Wood Everyday CD ROM.

A friend of ours is retiring so I thought why not use this challenge to make the retirement card for the person in question.

Also I was having sort out of my crafty stash and found lots of Peel off's that I've not used for while, Its a real shame as Peel off's seem to have gone out of fashion and I love them as their so versatile and easy to use, so decided to use them for my card and start Peel off's revolution to bring them back.

Recipe of items used - Background and topper from Crafters Companion Mulberry Wood Everyday CD ROM  (UK) used in Serif Craft Artist to change the background colour - Peel off's Starfoam - Grey card by Papermilldirect - Black and White Card - Assorted buttons in grey, white and black - Embossing folders by Craft lifestyle by quickutz Classic collection - Die cut topper cut on Silhouette Cameo of course.

I really enjoyed making this card as it was nice to use different colours other than greens and blues for the boys and men in your life.

This will be my entry for Crafters Companion May Challenge and Sisters of Craft Blog

Thanks for visiting my blog today and don't forget to follow my blog to hear first my latest news and blog post or bit of gossip.
