Hello there, well here in the UK it's a warm day again and I really shouldn't complain about the weather but I'm definitely not a summer person as I don't cope well with the warm weather. Well today I'm sharing a card that I'd created last weekend and can you believe I even recorded making this on my camcorder but when I came to edit, the free software I had on my computer wasn't the full version so I couldn't speed up the colouring, so it looks like I will have to save up and invest in the paid version.
Created stitched panel using the silhouette cameo but this time I created three cut out windows in the center of the panel and added an offset stitch around the three windows. On A2 (US) size card blank I laid the panel on the top and draw faint line around each of the squares with pencil. Remove the panel from the card, then using sticky notes I mask off the first square and stamped the cow image using clear acrylic block and versafine onyx black ink and continued with the same process for the horse and of course the adorable little pig. Once finished rubbed out the pencil lines with a soft eraser.
Coloured the images in using my WHSmith artist quality colouring pencils. Stamped Happy Birthday from the whole herd just underneath the three cutout windows, using versafine onyx black ink and acrylic block. Adhere the panel to the A2 card blank with double sided foam tape. Added a few clear enamel dots to finish.
I don't usually decorate the inside of the card, but thought it would good to continue the animal theme on the inside of the card. Again I coloured images using the same coloured pencils.
I know the perfect little boy who will love this card for his up and coming Birthday, I think most children love farm yard animals.
This will be entered into the following challenges

DeleteThat is adorable! I'm sorry about your video. I use Movie Maker and downloaded it for free on my PC. It works great and I'd highly recommend. Love your colouring as always. Xx
ReplyDeleteOh I will check that out Ruth, will it work with windows 10? Hope you're having a lovely weekend? x
DeleteI love farm animals too...especially little piggies. The little guy is the far right... just too cute. Your pencil work is outstanding, really is. It's nice that you extended the stamping to the inside too... and there's that cute piggy! Now you know why I just had to get MFT's Hog Heaven!

DeleteWhat a fun and fabulous card, the look you have achieved with the coloured pencils suits these little farm critters perfectly! We are in the middle of Winter here and I'm hanging for Summer (thing is, I live in the sub tropics so it's not really cold anyway, such a sook lol).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet and kind comments, I suppose it must be nice not having the cold weather where you are at anytime of the year, Think I'm just use to the autumnal and winter weather, but apart from the snow of course. Thank you so for following my blog too. It means such a lot to me. xx
Deleteps I have changed across to Cyberlink (and paid for the yearly subs) and it is hands down so much better to use than Movie Maker although this program did serve me well for the past 4 years, hope this is helpful. can't wait to see this card in film!
ReplyDeleteOh that's so good of you to tell me that information regarding Cyberlink, I will definitely look into that, for sure. Thank you ever so much xx
