Hello there, last weekend I tried experimenting with my acrylic paints, that I've only started to use even though I did purchase them last year. Well I'm so glad i've finally got round to using them. Whilst I was experimenting, the paint was going more over me than the card itself but still enjoyed being artistic.
Created a stitched panel on the silhouette cameo and then cut out the panel using white card, selected three acrylic paints, which were Viridian, Ultramarine and Violet. Using a spare wall tile for paint palette, I squeeze a small amount of each colour on the tile. Added a little water to the paint to lightly water down the paint. I used a combination of two paintbrushes which are No.10 and No.1/2 and created the splatter technique gently tapping with spare paintbrush, I used brown craft mat to keep my surfaces clean. Once finished I gently heat set with heat tool.
Using my DIY stamping tool I stamped "Happy" and "Birthday" in versafine onyx black ink, I did have to re stamp a couple of times to get the perfect coverage. Cut a piece of fun foam to fit the panel and adhered to panel with double sided tape then adhered the panel to the A2 (US) size card blank with double sided tape. To finish I added a few drops of Tonic nuvo drops in black and white to finish.
Have you tried this paint splattering technique? what type of results did you get? I must admit it's such a fun technique. Enjoy the rest of your day?

Thank you so much for your kind words. hugs x
ReplyDeleteThis is CAS perfection, Missy. The beautifully stamped bold sentiment needs very little to turn the card into a work of art. The splatter is perfectly "splattered" and enamel dots provide the right finish. Well done, my friend.
