Hello there, hope you are having a lovely day? where ever you are in the world, today I'm bring you tutorial of a little experiment, that I've been trying out over the past few days.
I love the enamel dots look, but can't really afford them quite yet, so I set about seeing if I could create something similar to enamel dots but are a little cheaper.
First you will need craft sheet or baking sheet which are available in most discount stores for as little as £1 in the UK, and some docrafts Anita's 3D gloss gel or even glossy accents should work the same.
Squeeze the bottle slightly and make little droplets of gems to the size you require, this could be big or tiny little ones.
(If you appear to have some air bubbles just pop them with cocktail stick whilst it's still wet)
Once you have enough, you now have to leave them to dry and this can take about four hours but I recommend you leave them overnight.
The next day they should be perfectly hard by now, so you now it's time colour them and I used Spectrum noir Alcohol markers to colour these. I found they took the colour so well and dried so quickly. If you have Ebrush you could use that as well to achieve the same look.
As you can see the dots are just as shiny as the enamel dots, the only difference is that it's costed you a lot less then buying them. One small bottle of Anita's 3D gloss gel will make many hundreds of these enamel dots, so its certainly good value for your money.
Shown on A4 white paper so you can see what they look like, they have that soft look that would suit any card you wanted to make.
Store them in container or box to keep them in perfect condition, I've left some clear so when I've created a card, they can be coloured to suit the theme. You could even use them clear on your cards to look like dewdrops or raindrops. When adding them to your card just pop a little glue on the back and there you go..
